Job Description:

Job Description

Overview & Responsibilities

The Programme Management Office Manager leads the governance, integration, control and executive reporting required to maintain delivery confidence across Servaada's Transformation Programme. The role creates the authoritative programme view across multiple workstreams and ensures that scope, milestones, cost, benefits, risks, dependencies, resources and readiness are managed as an integrated whole.

Success requires strong programme PMO capability together with practical experience of wealth management, investment platforms or asset/wealth administration. This domain knowledge enables the role to challenge delivery positions intelligently and ensure that programme decisions reflect adviser and investor journeys, investment products and wrappers, operational servicing, data, technology, regulatory obligations and third-party dependencies.

The role owns programme delivery hygiene and the quality of the management information used by the Programme Director and governance forums. It integrates workstream plans and critical dependencies, maintains the consolidated financial and benefit position, provides clear visibility of emerging delivery and capacity pressures and ensures that material changes are assessed and controlled against agreed baselines.

The Programme Management Office Manager is also expected to improve the effectiveness of programme governance rather than simply administer it: simplifying controls where possible, improving data quality and automation, challenging weak evidence and turning complex programme information into concise, decision-ready insight

Who We Are Looking For

Essential Experience & Capability

  • Strong practical experience within UK wealth management, investment platforms, asset/wealth administration or a closely related regulated financial-services environment, with an understanding of adviser and investor journeys, investment products/wrappers, platform operations and service considerations.
  • Proven Programme Management Office experience supporting complex transformation programmes comprising multiple business and technology workstreams.
  • Extensive experience establishing, maintaining and enforcing project management methodologies and processes to ensure consistency and quality across projects
  • Demonstrable experience integrating workstream plans, milestones, RAID, dependencies, decisions, change control and readiness into a coherent programme-level control environment.
  • Proven experience managing programme financials, including resource and non-resource cost tracking, forecasting and variance management, alongside benefit and value-realisation reporting.
  • Strong benefits and outcomes capability, with experience linking change outputs to measurable adviser, investor, operational, financial, risk, service and strategic outcomes.
  • Experience producing high-quality executive reporting and governance materials that clearly expose trends, trade-offs, exceptions, decisions and actions requiring leadership attention.
  • Strong stakeholder credibility across Programme Directors, workstream leads, Finance, Risk/Compliance, Operations, Technology, Data and third-party delivery partners.
  • Strong PPM, reporting and data-management capability, with confidence using structured delivery data to improve control, insight and reporting efficiency.

    Desirable Experience

    • Experience supporting wealth-platform transformation, platform consolidation, technology modernisation, operating-model change or large-scale migration programmes.
    • Knowledge of UK retail investment regulation and customer-outcome expectations, including FCA-regulated platform environments and Consumer Duty considerations.
    • Experience working across client, technology-provider, operations-provider and other third-party organisational boundaries.
    • Experience applying proportionate governance across waterfall, agile, iterative or hybrid delivery approaches and automating repeatable reporting where practical.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Definition, Integration & Delivery Hygiene

Maintain a clearly defined and integrated Transformation Programme, including:

  • Maintaining agreed programme objectives, scope, outcomes, milestones, cost and benefit baselines and ensuring approved changes are reflected consistently across programme artefacts.
  • Integrating workstream plans into a coherent programme roadmap, critical path and dependency view, identifying sequencing conflicts and delivery collisions early.
  • Establishing minimum programme control standards while allowing workstreams to use delivery approaches appropriate to their change.
  • Maintaining high-quality core artefacts, including the integrated plan, RAID and decision logs, dependency map, benefits view, governance calendar and readiness position

    Programme Governance & Decision Support

Operate governance that supports timely, evidence-based decisions and clear accountability, including:

    • Running programme governance forums, reporting cycles, escalation routes and action tracking in support of the Programme Director.
    • Maintaining the authoritative programme view of delivery status, milestones, outcomes, cost, benefits, risks, dependencies and readiness.
    • Ensuring decisions, actions and changes have clear ownership, rationale and traceability and are followed through to closure.
    • Providing constructive challenge where workstream evidence, forecasts or recovery plans do not support the reported delivery position

Cost, Benefits, Outcomes & Value Management

Maintain a reliable view of programme investment and the value it is expected to produce, including:

      • Owning the consolidated programme cost baseline and forecast across resource and non-resource spend, tracking actuals and identifying material variances.
      • Ensuring financial and non-financial benefits are measurable, baselined, assigned to accountable owners and tracked as forecast, realised or at risk.
      • Assessing whether changes in scope, sequencing, cost or delivery confidence materially affect expected adviser, investor, operational, financial, risk or service outcomes.
      • Providing accurate cost, benefit and value information for programme governance and investment decisions
