The primary purpose of this Project Manager role is to support the integration and re-alignment  of Data Governance, Protection, AI and Ethics Governance into one set of  processes which meet AVIVA standards that meet/ exceed the tolerance  thresholds set by external governing bodies such as the FCA and ICO.  They will manage complex change across multiple stakeholders, providing structure, pace and transparency while enabling confident decision‑making and effective risk management 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Own and drive the end-to-end delivery lan for the Process Integration workstream. 
  • Coordinate workshops, discovery activities, and stakeholder engagement across Pricing & Underwriting, Risk, Technology, and other areas.
  • Work with the central team to ensure process discovery, documentation, and validation activities are completed to the required quality and timelines.
  • Maintain a robust delivery framework including RAID management, decision tracking, and fortnightly reporting.
  • Ensure alignment across connected workstreams.
  • Escalate risks, blockers, and resource issues promptly, ensuring clear options and recommendations for resolution.
  • Manage stakeholders at all levels, including SLT, workstream leads, and SMEs.
  • Support estimation, resourcing, and planning for future phases of process integration.
  • Ensure governance standards are followed and deliverables meet programme expectations.
  • Support change adoption and readiness planning for go-live phases.

 

Required Experience & Skills 

  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex process focused projects or integration programmes.
  • Strong project management capability (planning, governance, RAID, reporting).
  • Ability to run structured workshops and coordinate multiple streams of work.
  • Experience working in environments with multiple stakeholder groups and organisations.
  • Familiarity with process transformation and operational change.
  • Insurance / Pricing & Underwriting / Data Governance & Privacy) operations background beneficial.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Managing multi‑workstream initiatives (roles, standards, controls, risks, behaviours)
  • Understand how risk, controls standards and roles interlock
  • Target Operating Model (TOM) / organisational alignment
  • Team integration or centralisation (e.g. federated → central governance)
  • Clarifying accountability (RACI, decision rights, ownership models)
  • Be comfortable working with Data governance & data risk
  • Privacy and regulatory obligations (GDPR, PECR, AI governance, ICO,FCA/PRA expectations)
