Job Description

We are looking for an Automation Test Architect to define and drive the test automation strategy across UI, API, and backend systems. This role focuses on designing scalable, maintainable automation solutions using C#, TypeScript, Selenium, and API automation frameworks, while guiding teams on best practices and long-term quality strategy.

You will work closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to ensure automation is a first-class citizen in the delivery pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own end-to-end automation architecture for UI, API, and service-level testing

  • Design and build reusable automation frameworks using C# and TypeScript

  • Architect UI automation using Selenium WebDriver and modern design patterns

  • Design and implement API automation solutions for RESTful services

  • Establish automation standards, coding guidelines, and framework governance

  • Drive test strategy for regression, smoke, integration, and system testing

  • Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

  • Evaluate tools and frameworks and guide adoption across teams

  • Mentor automation engineers and conduct design and code reviews

  • Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to improve testability and quality

  • Define and track automation metrics and quality KPIs

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with C# for automation framework development

  • Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript for test automation

  • Deep expertise in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation

  • Solid experience in API automation (REST APIs, JSON, authentication, headers)

  • Experience with test frameworks such as NUnit, MSTest, xUnit, or equivalent

  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript-based automation ecosystems

  • Strong understanding of automation architecture and design patterns

  • Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines

  • Good understanding of Agile, DevOps, and modern SDLC practices

  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills

Good to Have

  • Experience with Playwright or Cypress using TypeScript

  • Exposure to BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow or Cucumber

  • Performance or security testing exposure

  • Cloud experience (Azure or AWS)
