Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Cloud Architect with a strong background in financial services, particularly in the areas of savings, mortgage, asset finance, and motor finance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud-native application design patterns and solution architecture principles within the Azure ecosystem. This individual will play a crucial role in designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that support the growth and transformation of our clients’ financial services operations at the platform, application and solution levels.

Key Responsibilities:

•     Cloud Architecture Design: Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions on the Azure platform, leveraging Azure's core services and architectural patterns. Focus on financial services-specific applications such as savings, mortgage, asset finance, and motor finance.

•     Financial Services Expertise: Provide industry-specific insights to ensure cloud solutions align with financial services requirements, such as regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS), data privacy, risk management, and financial modeling.

•     Application-Level Architecture: Collaborate with development teams to define and implement cloud-based application architectures that incorporate best practices for reliability, performance, scalability, and security.

•     Solution Design: Create high-level and low-level solution designs for cloud applications and infrastructure, ensuring that the solutions are aligned with business goals, strategic initiatives, and financial regulations.

•     Best Practice Implementation: Establish cloud design patterns and best practices for both new applications and the migration of existing financial systems to the Azure cloud.

•     Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand their requirements, ensure alignment with financial services business objectives, and ensure solutions are designed to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

•     Migration & Modernization: Lead the strategy and execution of cloud migration and modernization initiatives, ensuring a smooth transition from on-premises to Azure environments while optimizing for cost and efficiency.

•     Cost Optimization: Drive cost optimization strategies within Azure environments by utilizing built-in Azure cost management tools and designing efficient cloud architectures.

•     Documentation and Governance: Create comprehensive documentation of architectures, solution designs, and governance policies. Ensure that the cloud solutions adhere to internal and industry standards, policies, and regulations.
