Job Description

Key Responsibilities

· Act as the primary Citrix SME for VDI environments, owning design, architecture, stability, and continuous improvement of Citrix platforms.

· Design and govern scalable, resilient, and secure Citrix architectures across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud VDI landscapes.

· Own Citrix lifecycle management including upgrades, migrations (e.g., legacy to LTSR), image management, and platform standardization.

· Drive capacity planning, performance optimization, and cost efficiency for large-scale VDI deployments.

· Collaborate with network, security, cloud, storage, and AD teams to ensure end-to-end service reliability and compliance.

· Lead L3/L4 escalations, handling complex, business-critical incidents (P1/P2), performing deep root cause analysis (RCA) and driving permanent remediation.

· Provide technical leadership and mentoring to L2/L3 engineers; review SOPs, design documents, and operational runbooks.

· Act as a technical advisor/consultant for customers and internal stakeholders, supporting new bids, transitions, and transformations.

· Ensure adherence to ITIL processes, including change, problem, and release management.

Technical Expertise

Citrix & VDI Core

· Deep expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Cloud, Citrix Studio, Director, StoreFront, and Licensing.

· Strong hands-on experience with MCS and PVS, image lifecycle management, and multi-site VDI architectures.

· Advanced knowledge of Citrix ADC / NetScaler (load balancing, SSL offload, secure access).

Infrastructure & OS

· Strong command of Windows Server, Active Directory, GPOs, DNS/DHCP, and authentication integrations.

· Experience with Hyper-V and/or VMware, including clustering and performance tuning.

· Knowledge of Citrix XenServer environments and HA designs.

Cloud & Modern Workspace

· Hands-on exposure to Cloud VDI (Azure/AWS/GCP), hybrid designs, and Citrix Cloud connectors.

· Understanding of FSLogix / profile management, user persona, and session optimization (commonly used in L4 roles, aligned with internal profiles).

Automation, Monitoring & Governance

· Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation for Citrix and infrastructure tasks.

· Experience with monitoring and reporting tools (e.g., Director analytics, Virtuadesk monitoring) for proactive health checks.

· Strong documentation skills – HLD/LLD, SOPs, RCA reports, and operational dashboards.
Mandatory Skills: Citrix Admin .
