Functional Consultant – Supply Chain Management (SCM)

Join Wipro Technologies as a Functional Consultant specialized in Supply Chain Management (SCM) within our Technology Services division. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your deep expertise in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Dynamics AX 2012 R3 to drive efficiency and innovation in manufacturing operations. You will become an essential partner in enabling smart production control, master planning, and advanced warehouse management that meet the evolving needs of global manufacturing organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert on SCM processes specifically tailored to manufacturing environments, including production control and master planning modules.
  • Configure and optimize core SCM modules such as inventory management, purchase order processing, sales order management, warehouse management, and transfer orders to align with business goals.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including operations, logistics, procurement, and IT to gather requirements, analyze processes, and implement robust SCM solutions.
  • Lead and execute comprehensive testing activities to validate system functionalities, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop detailed functional documentation, best practice guidelines, and training materials to empower end-users and support smooth change management.
  • Provide ongoing support and enhancements post-implementation, troubleshooting issues and recommending continuous improvements aligned with business transformation initiatives.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, preferably with past exposure to Dynamics AX 2012 R3.
  • Strong domain knowledge of SCM processes in manufacturing—production control, master planning, inventory and warehouse management, purchase and sales processes.
  • Proven expertise in configuring complex SCM elements such as products, items, bills of materials (BOM), and transfer orders.
  • Demonstrated ability to design test cases, conduct system testing, and validate solutions within agile or structured delivery frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and attention to detail to translate business requirements into pragmatic system configurations.
  • Effective communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels and articulate technical concepts in an accessible manner.
  • A commitment to collaborative working and client-centric delivery, with adaptability to evolving technologies and business models.
