Job Description
- Proficient with restore of MQ Backup Config and Data.
- Hands on experience with running MQ on AWS machines.
- Experience in setting up MQ clustering/Multi-Instance MQ/HA environment/MQ FTE.
- Expertise in Disaster Recovery Activity and sound knowledge on MQ clustering, MQ Backup and Recovery.
- Experience in multiple platforms including Unix (AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, and Linux) and Windows.
- Expertise configuring and managing MQ in Cloud technologies like VMWare and AWS Cloud.
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of Network technologies like AVI Load balancer, Internet, VPN, Leased line connectivity and NLB (Network Load Balancer).
- Knowledge of MQIPT configuration and setup.
- Knowledge of different Storage file systems that’s relevant to MQ.
- Experience in performing and supporting deployments during pre-defined deployment schedules or emergency deployments.
- Experience in handling on-call support, High severity issues, Root cause analysis and prepare appropriate documentation as required by Incident and Problem management process.
- Sound knowledge in the functionality of ITIL process which includes Change management, Incident management, Problem management and Release management.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with excellent understanding of system development methodologies.
- Must be proficient in writing/editing of Python, UNIX, Shell scripts, Power Shell etc to automate the processes.
- Experience in the IBM PMR problem determination and troubleshooting process.
- Should be able to manage, configure, and monitor MQ Listeners, Channel initiators, MQ Log files & Dead Letter Queues.
- Able to setup security for WebSphere MQ queues & other objects for data access and for administration using role-based security.
- Proficient in SSL/TLS Configuration on WebSphere MQ.
- Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
- Experience in other middleware technologies like APPIA FIX & Fix Edge is an added advantage.
- Experience in configuring FIX sessions and troubleshooting skills with external clients.
- Experience in setting up complete Point-to-point MQ clustering/Multi-Instance MQ/HA environment/MQ FTE
