Endpoint Automation Engineer – Aternity

Exp - 6 - 9 years
Loaciton - Pune 

Rates including mark up- 150 - 155 K/M

"Role Purpose Drive endpoint self-healing and remediation automation through Aternity by building, signing, deploying, and operating PowerShell-based automations executed via Aternity Runbooks.

The role focuses on turning Aternity insights (performance, stability, and user-impact signals) into safe, repeatable remediation and optimization actions across the endpoint estate.

Strong scripting and secure automation practices are the priority;

Aternity platform knowledge is desirable but can be learned quickly by a capable automation engineer.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities

A. Business, Customers, and Stakeholders · Deliver measurable reduction in endpoint vulnerabilities and recurring incidents through automation-led remediation. · Partner with Security, EUC/Workspace, Service Management, and Operations to prioritize high-impact remediation use cases. · Enable faster recovery and reduced user disruption by implementing targeted self-healing actions. · Provide clear reporting on remediation outcomes (coverage, success/failure rate, time-to-remediate, risk reduction). · Support audit and compliance needs with traceable change records and execution evidence. 

B. Internal / Operational Responsibilities · Develop robust PowerShell scripts for detection, remediation, rollback, and post-remediation validation. · Sign scripts and manage secure script execution controls in line with enterprise policy. · Build and maintain Aternity runbooks, targeting logic, phased rollout, and scheduling. · Execute controlled deployments (pilot/canary/global), monitor runtime outcomes, and optimize based on telemetry. · Troubleshoot failed remediations and maintain reusable script/runbook standards. · Maintain documentation, version control, and operational playbooks for support continuity.

C. Risk, Governance, and Controls · Follow secure coding and change governance practices. · Ensure scripts are idempotent, logged, and rollback capable. · Validate compatibility across device types, OS versions, and user contexts. · Reconcile reporting variances across tools/dashboards when required. · Support secure authentication practices for automation integrations, including OAuth 2.0 token-based flows. 

3) Functional Knowledge Core (Must Have) · Advanced PowerShell scripting in enterprise environments. · Hands-on script signing and execution policy governance. · Strong understanding of endpoint remediation patterns (registry/services/files/processes/app lifecycle). ·

Experience with controlled enterprise deployment practices (pilot, phased rollout, rollback, validation). · Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills for endpoint automation. · Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0 (client credentials, access tokens, refresh patterns, API auth handling). 

Preferred (Good to Have) · Hands-on Aternity experience (runbooks/workflows/actions/telemetry/dashboarding). · Experience integrating automation scripts with authenticated APIs. · Exposure to vulnerability remediation and patch compliance programs. · Experience with MECM/Intune or similar endpoint management tooling. · Basic macOS scripting/remediation exposure."
