Job Description

Oracle DBA (B3) – 6-9 Years Experience

Role Purpose

Support and manage Oracle databases across the ReAssure estate, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and compliance while delivering efficient operational support and continuous service improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day Oracle database administration and support.
  • Investigate and resolve database incidents, problems, and service requests.
  • Support application releases and database deployments across environments.
  • Manage Oracle backup and recovery activities using RMAN.
  • Monitor database performance, capacity, and availability.
  • Perform database patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Support automation and service improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain database security, standards, and governance controls.
  • Support audit activities and provide required database information.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on database-related activities.
  • Participate in on-call and out-of-hours support when required.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • 6-9 years of Oracle DBA experience in production support environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning experience.
  • Experience with database patching, upgrades, and vulnerability management.
  • Experience supporting critical business applications.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exposure to Insurance or Financial Services domain is desirable
