Role Purpose

Job Title: Network Engineer (L3) – SD-WAN, SD-LAN, WiFi (Cisco & HPE Aruba)

Job Summary:

The Network Engineer (L3) will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network solutions, focusing on SD-WAN, SD-LAN, and WiFi technologies from Cisco and HPE Aruba. This role requires deep technical expertise in network architecture, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure high availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Design & Implementation: Architect and deploy SD-WAN, SD-LAN, and WiFi solutions using Cisco and HPE Aruba technologies.
  • Configuration & Optimization: Configure routers, switches, access points, and security policies to enhance network performance.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide L3-level support for complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, including firewall policies, VPN configurations, and access control.
  • Monitoring & Performance Management: Utilize network monitoring tools to analyze traffic patterns and optimize performance.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain detailed network documentation and provide training to junior engineers.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to align network strategies with business goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expertise in SD-WAN & SD-LAN: Strong knowledge of Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela, Meraki) and HPE Aruba EdgeConnect SD-Branch.
  • WiFi Networking: Experience with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), HPE Aruba Instant APs, and WiFi optimization.
  • Routing & Switching: Advanced knowledge of Cisco IOS, NX-OS, and ArubaOS.
  • Security & VPN: Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and network access control (NAC).
  • Network Monitoring Tools: Experience with Cisco Prime, Aruba Central, SolarWinds, or similar platforms.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    • Cisco: CCNP Enterprise, CCIE (Networking, Wireless, Security)
    • HPE Aruba: ACMP, ACCP, ACDX
    • SD-WAN: Cisco SD-WAN Specialist, Aruba SD-Branch certifications

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco and HPE Aruba SD-WAN, SD-LAN, and WiFi solutions.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues at an L3 level
