Job Description

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to bridge client's functional and technical requirements at the module level by assisting in outlining technical specifications, performing basic configuration, and troubleshooting initial system issues.

Job Description:-

Key Responsibilities:

  • Map source schemas from legacy CRMs (3 confirmed, up to 6 total) to the target ERP Customer Master.
  • Negotiate and document field-level survivorship matrices with business and financial stakeholders.
  • Define the golden record model: attributes, hierarchies, and relationship types.
  • Design the account hierarchy model to represent OEM, supplier, and dealer relationships, including variable ownership and multi-brand dealer structures.
  • Design matching, deduplication, and survivorship rules (custom logic — fuzzy/phonetic matching, scoring, weighting) in the absence of a commercial MDM platform. Use of AI tools and Agents is strongly recommended.
  • Incorporate data privacy, security, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) into the data model and architecture from the outset.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data ownership, establish data governance workflows, and assist in designing the operating model for long-term MDM adoption.
  • Define new rules and guidelines for Account and contracts in CRM systems (to ensure most clean data is ELT ready).
  • Define the system-of-record matrix: which system (ERP or CRM) is authoritative for which field.
  • Own data quality KPIs, define cutover/test-readiness criteria, and contribute to overall project performance metrics (e.g., data accuracy improvement, duplicate reduction).
  • Lead the Phase 0 account hierarchy validation workshop using real ownership/brand edge cases from the business.
  • Evaluate and document where AI-assisted matching may responsibly supplement rule-based logic.
  • Produce and maintain full documentation of all rules and models to ensure continuity beyond this engagement

Required Qualifications & Experience͏:-

  • Senior, hands-on data architecture/engineering background with proven MDM experience (e.g., SAP MDG, Informatica, Reltio).
  • Define data lineage between different CRM systems and ETL process
  • Proven experience building custom-engineered staging/cleansing databases (Postgres, Snowflake).
  • Prior experience on CRM-to-ERP migration programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Strong relational database modeling, SQL, and data pipeline tooling (such as dbt). Experience with ETL tool like Alteryx is a strong preference.
  • Experience using AI/ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow) for data cleansing, or leveraging generative AI for semantic matching and documentation.
  • Direct automotive or dealer-network industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience designing matching/deduplication logic without a commercial MDM platform.
  • Experience modeling complex, multi-dimensional account hierarchies with variable/partial ownership structures (automotive OEM/dealer/franchise, multi-tier distribution, or comparable domain complexity).
  • Strong data governance background.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable owning cross-functional decisions.
  • Support the date lineage process for Migration Engineer
