Job Description

• NetBackup Installation & configuration (L3)

• Strong experience on Linux and scripting (preferably: shell, python, puppet)

• Hands-on experience on Veritas Appliances and Data Domain appliances.

• Installing and configuring CommVault idata agents for Windows File system, Unix file system, SQL, Oracle, Exchange, NAS (NDMP), VMWARE VADP backup and restores through Commvault.

• Perform regular system maintenance; Incident solving; Change implementation; Patch management; Analyze/solve performance and security issues Complex backup scheduling maintenance also includes helping solve complex problems related to operating system; databases; middleware or applications teams

• Updating periodically Service pack and patch for all the Client and CommServer

• Troubleshooting CommVault problems within the given SLA 

• Extensive experience on troubleshooting failed / pending jobs in Commvault

• Configuration and troubleshooting of SAN Client backup (Fiber Transport)

• Clear understanding on SLP and Vault

• Upgrading and patching the Backup servers

• Oracle/SQL/ESX/NDMP Integration with Netbackup

• Hands-on experience on Replication Director
