Job Description: OpenShift OpenTelemetry Operator Developer
Role Overview
We are seeking an OpenShift OpenTelemetry (OTel) Operator Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Kubernetes/OpenShift-based observability platforms.

The role focuses on deploying, configuring, and operating the OpenTelemetry Operator and Collector pipelines in production OpenShift environments.

Key Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and manage the OpenTelemetry Operator on OpenShift clusters.

Design, configure, and operate OpenTelemetry Collector pipelines for logs, metrics, and traces.

Define and manage Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) related to OTel Operator and Collector components.

Integrate OpenTelemetry pipelines with Kafka and Splunk for downstream processing and analytics.

Troubleshoot Kubernetes and OpenShift issues related to observability workloads.

Perform performance tuning and reliability improvements for observability pipelines.

Operate and support production observability platforms with high availability and scalability.

Collaborate with SRE, platform, and application teams to standardize observability practices.

Mandatory Skills (Must-Have)
5+ years of experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes in production environments.

Strong hands-on experience deploying and configuring the OpenTelemetry Operator.

Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry Collector pipelines (logs, metrics, traces).

Strong understanding of Kubernetes CRDs and operator lifecycle management.

Strong Kubernetes and OpenShift troubleshooting skills.

Experience integrating OpenTelemetry with Kafka and Splunk.

Proven experience running production-grade observability platforms.

Good-to-Have Skills
Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or similar observability tools.

Exposure to multi-cluster or hybrid cloud OpenShift environments.

Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments.
Mandatory Skills: Redhat OpenShift .
