Job Title               Oracle Database Admin – L3
Primary Skill (Technical Skill)    Oracle DBA
Secondary Skill (optional)          MS SQL / Sybase / UDB DB2
Educational Qualifications       B.E. / B.Sc. /Diploma
Experience Level            8 + Years


Role & Responsibilities              

Installation and administration of Oracle 11gR2, 10g, 9i on UNIX (AIX/Linux/Solaris) and Windows servers
Install, configure and manage ASM instance
Manage and troubleshoot the disk and diskgroups in ASM
Database creation/duplicate/clone
Apply patches and patchset upgrade on Oracle databases
Backup and recovery using RMAN
Database auditing (compliance reports)
Analyzes the issue to determine the root cause and develop solution or escalate to next level.

SQL, database and application performance monitoring and tuning.

Database growth trend analysis and capacity recommendation

Database reorganization planning

Design and extract the script from physical Data modeling

Coordinate with database vendors for resolution

Install Oracle Client software and troubleshoot connectivity issues

Write and troubleshoot shell scripting, SQL and PL/SQL scripts.

Primarily role is supporting the production and non-prod database environments

Provide 24x7 and on call support for critical application databases

 

Technical Skills (Core & Top-Up)            

Strong database and ASM administration experience on Oracle 11gR2

Database upgrade to 11gR2 and migration experience

Manage Dataguard, RAC environments

Manage and administration of Oracle Golden Gate

Perform the disaster recovery (DR) exercise

Database and memory init parameters recommendation        

Oracle certified professional (OCP)

Work on multiple database technologies
