About the Role: We have a critical opening for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join our embedded team, steering the design strategy for our key client. This is a senior, hands-on role focused on untangling highly complex financial workflows and designing next-generation digital products for investment banking professionals.

You will be the design authority on your projects, responsible for the end-to-end design lifecycle, managing senior client relationships, and mentoring other designers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Own Design: Take full ownership of the UX and UI design for complex modules within the UBS ecosystem, from initial requirements and user research to high-fidelity, developer-ready designs.
  • Solve Complex Problems: Deconstruct intricate financial workflows , data-heavy dashboards , and legacy system challenges, translating them into intuitive, efficient, and modern user experiences.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary design point of contact for UBS stakeholders, confidently presenting and defending design decisions, managing feedback, and aligning product strategy with user needs and business goals.
  • Strategy & Research: Plan and execute user research (stakeholder interviews, workflow analysis, usability testing) with expert financial users to uncover deep insights that inform your design strategy.
  • Design System Governance: Collaborate with the wider design team to contribute to and govern the UBS design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reusability across all products.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior/mid-level designers on the team, elevating the overall quality of design output and fostering a culture of excellence.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in UX/UI or Product Design.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in designing for complex B2B, enterprise, or financial applications (experience in finance is a major plus).
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects from concept to completion.
  • Mastery of designing data-dense interfaces, dashboards, and intricate workflows.
  • Expert-level skills in Figma, Sketch, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience managing senior-level client relationships.
  • Deep understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and usability heuristics.
