Job Description: AS400 / IBM i Developer – EDI Integration (L2/L3 Support)

Role Type: Development + L2/L3 Production Support

Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled AS400 / IBM i Developer with strong experience in CLP/CLLE/RPGLE and solid exposure to B2B/EDI integrations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience supporting Order-to-Cash, Supply Chain, and Logistics EDI transactions, managing production issues, and contributing to AMS engagements in an offshore delivery model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 support for AS400 / IBM i applications, including:
    • Job monitoring, job handling, and job log analysis
    • Troubleshooting programs, files, and system-related issues
  • Develop and enhance IBM i components using CLP, CLLE, and RPGLE.
  • Support and manage EDI integrations, including:
    • EDI X12, flat-file integrations
    • Order-to-Cash, Supply Chain & Logistics transaction flows
  • Work with communication protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS, SFTP, VAN, AS2.
  • Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Handle production issues related to jobs, scheduling, program errors, and data inconsistencies.
  • Support enhancements, and steady-state operations.
  • Collaborate closely with onsite/offshore teams during the 2 PM – 11 PM IST shift.
  • Follow SDLC processes for integration and enhancement work.

Required Skills

AS400 / IBM i Expertise

  • Strong hands-on experience in CLP, CLLE, RPGLE
  • Good understanding of:
    • IBM i commands
    • Job queues, job logs, system messages
    • Troubleshooting AS400 programs and file-level issues

EDI & Integration Skills

  • Experience with:
    • EDI-X12 standards
    • Flat file integrations
  • Exposure to EDI flows in O2C, Supply Chain, Logistics

Support & Delivery Skills

  • Experience in L2/L3 engagements
  • Familiarity with Incident, Problem, Change Management
  • Ability to work under changing priorities and multitask effectively
  • Experience in onsite–offshore model (preferred)
  • Understanding of AMS transitions and support processes
Mandatory Skills: EDI .
