Role Purpose

As a Talend Data Integration Developer at Wipro Technologies, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining robust software solutions tailored for operating systems and client-deployed applications. Your role ensures that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and reliability, with a focus on achieving complete compliance with stringent quality assurance parameters.

You will play a vital part in the data management lifecycle, creating scalable ETL pipelines that integrate data from diverse sources and guarantee consistent data availability and integrity, particularly within enterprise and banking environments. Your expertise will contribute to efficient and timely data workflows, supporting business analytics, reporting, and decision-making processes.

This position demands proactive problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with stakeholders to align solutions with business requirements while adhering to organizational standards and best practices.

Role Summary:

You will be responsible for architecting and managing scalable, efficient data integration solutions using Talend Data Integration tools. This includes the end-to-end development lifecycle of ETL jobs that extract, transform, and load data from multiple enterprise sources such as relational databases and flat files into consolidated systems.

Your role will be crucial in ensuring that data pipelines operate reliably, providing timely and accurate data feeds to support business intelligence and operational analytics in regulated financial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex Talend ETL jobs that adhere to high coding and performance standards.
  • Implement data ingestion solutions from a variety of data sources, including RDBMS platforms like MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and flat file systems.
  • Develop parameter-driven, reusable workflows and automate scheduling to enable efficient batch data processing.
  • Manage incremental data loads and perform comprehensive data transformations with robust error handling mechanisms.
  • Continuously monitor ETL job executions to identify, analyze, and quickly resolve any data loading issues or failures.
  • Conduct rigorous SQL-based data validation checks and optimize query performance to ensure smooth data pipeline operations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to data quality, data reconciliation, and compliance requirements inherent to banking and financial data systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Technical Leads, Solution Architects, and cross-functional business teams to align solutions with organizational objectives.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and follow change management procedures, coding standards, and governance policies.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Talend Data Integration, including design, development, and deployment of ETL pipelines.
  • Proficiency in SQL querying and database operations across MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar RDBMS platforms.
  • Strong grasp of ETL and data integration concepts, architecture, and best practices.
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and performing batch data processing efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical ability to understand complex requirements and troubleshoot data issues effectively.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Informatica PowerCenter or similar ETL tools is advantageous.
  • Prior work experience in banking or financial services sectors, understanding regulatory and compliance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of data quality assurance, auditing practices, and data reconciliation methodologies.
  • Familiarity with performance tuning techniques in ETL processes to optimize runtime and resource utilization.
  • Exposure to working in regulated or compliance-driven environments enhances candidacy.
