Network Security Engineer - L3 (MNS Border)

Primary Skill                  :              Zscaler ZIA and ZPA ,firewall -Checkpoint ,Palo Alto and Cisco ASA

Secondary Skill            :              Reverse proxy NetScaler and Network troubleshooting

Location Flexibility    :              Pune or Coimbatore only

Shift Timings                 :              6 AM – 4 PM IST

 

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer (L3) to support and manage enterprise Border Security Infrastructure in a large global environment. The candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of firewalls, proxy solutions, reverse proxies, and secure access technologies. The role requires strong technical expertise, operational leadership, vendor coordination, incident management, and stakeholder engagement.

Mandatory Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Check Point Firewalls
  • Experience with Proxy and Reverse Proxy technologies
  • Working knowledge of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)
  • Experience with Citrix NetScaler / ADC
  • Border Security Infrastructure Design, Build, and Operations
  • Firewall Policy Management, NAT, VPN, and Security Rule Administration
  • Security Incident Handling and Escalation Management
  • ITIL-based Service Management processes

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the L3 technical lead and primary escalation point for Border Security services.
  • Manage and support enterprise firewall, proxy, reverse proxy, and secure access infrastructure.
  • Drive day-to-day operations, service improvements, and infrastructure changes.
  • Lead critical incident resolution, war-room coordination, and service restoration activities.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
  • Work closely with Abbott stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Manage security incidents, service requests, problems, and change activities.
  • Review firewall policies and implement security changes in compliance with standards.
  • Conduct trend analysis and reduce recurring incidents through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain SOPs, runbooks, operational documentation, and knowledge articles.
  • Support audits, compliance requirements, and security governance activities.
  • Monitor operational queues and ensure SLA adherence.
  • Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call support as required.

Required Experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in Security Infrastructure Operations.
  • Experience working in a SOC (Security Operations Center) environment.
  • Exposure to large, geographically distributed enterprise environments.
  • Experience with tools such as Remedy and security monitoring platforms.
  • Strong experience in incident, problem, change, and vendor management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as CCSE, CCSM, CCNP Security, CISSP, Zscaler Certifications, or ITIL.
