The role:

Wipro is hiring an Implementation Consultant (Generalist) to configure and deliver enterprise software solutions for clients in highly regulated, data-intensive environments. You'll sit at the meeting point of business analysis, technical configuration and customer consulting  - gathering requirements, designing the solution, building it, and seeing it live.

If you enjoy SQL, problem-solving and client conversations in equal measure, this is your role.

This opportunity is a full-time, work-from-home opportunity based in UK, initially offered for a period of 12 months with the possibility of extension. 

What you'll do:

  • Gather requirements, map business processes and translate them into functional and technical specifications
  • Configure workflows, data maintenance screens, calculations, reports, payroll functions and system interfaces
  • Build and troubleshoot solutions using T-SQL and SQL Server
  • Support data migration, integration, API and interface activities
  • Guide clients through the configuration lifecycle — demos, feedback, sign-off
  • Support testing, defect resolution, releases and upgrades
  • Produce client-facing and internal documentation, training and knowledge transfer
  • Manage multiple parallel workstreams, priorities and deadline

 

What you'll bring

Core skills and experience:

  • Software implementation, application configuration or technical consulting
  • Requirements gathering and business analysis
  • Business process mapping and workflow configuration
  • T-SQL
  • Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
  • Relational databases and data structures
  • XML
  • System testing, defect investigation and troubleshooting
  • Functional and technical documentation
  • Client-facing communication and stakeholder management
  • Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel
  • Managing multiple parallel tasks and deadlines


Great to have:

  • Pensions, insurance, financial services, payroll or accounting systems experience
  • UK pensions knowledge and benefit calculations
  • ASP.NET, VB.NET, C# or VBA
  • HTML, XSLT or content management systems
  • APIs and system integration
  • Azure and server migration or support
  • Agile delivery methodologies
  • Training needs analysis and knowledge transfer
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field
