Job Description
Rack & Hardware Operations
- Install, decommission, and maintain WCS racks, including servers, switches, PDUs, and related components
- Perform rack-and-stack activities, hardware swaps (FRUs), and break/fix troubleshooting
- Support rack-level deployments, expansions, and refresh activities
- Ensure proper labeling, asset tagging, and rack documentation
Networking & Cabling
- Execute structured cabling for copper and fiber within racks and data hall environments
- Patch network devices per design standards and update port/rack mappings
- Assist with switch installations, port audits, and basic network connectivity validation
Power & Environmental
- Install and maintain PDUs, power whips, and power cabling within racks
- Validate power redundancy, load balancing, and grounding standards
- Monitor environmental conditions and escalate anomalies
Tools, Systems & Process
- Update and maintain accurate asset records in CMDB systems
- Use ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, IcM) for incident, request, and change tracking
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), MOPs, and safety guidelines
- Participate in audits, compliance checks, and inventory validation
Collaboration & Operations
- Work closely with Site Leads, DPMs, Network, and Asset teams
- Support lab and data center customers with hands-on technical assistance
- Participate in on-call or after-hours support as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience working in data centers or lab environments
- Strong knowledge of WCS rack architecture and components
- Experience with server hardware (Dell, HPE, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with data center cabling standards (fiber and copper)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (switches, ports, VLANs – hands-on, not design)
- Experience using ticketing and asset management systems
- Ability to lift and move equipment (within safety guidelines)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting Microsoft or hyperscale data center environments
- Knowledge of rack power design, redundancy models, and PDU configurations
- Exposure to lab or pre-production environments
- Certifications (preferred but not required):
- CompTIA A+ / Network+
- Data Center or OEM hardware certifications

Experience: 3-5 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $45,000 to $121,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
