Test Automation Engineer - Triage

Job Title: Test Automation Engineer - Triage
Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite)

Salary $100K-$130K

Overall, the client expects candidates to be strong Automation Engineers with hands‑on Python skills and DevOps awareness, capable of triaging and resolving environment‑related issues. Firmware and hardware knowledge is a strong advantage for effectively identifying and troubleshooting hardware‑related issues.

 

Our client is working on a government project so the candidate will require to get security clearance 

JD for Automation Triage Engineer position:
We are looking for a strong Automation Engineer with hands-on Python skills and DevOps awareness to triage and resolve environment-related issues. The role focuses on building and maintaining automation solutions while diagnosing system and pipeline failures. Knowledge of firmware and hardware is a strong advantage for identifying and troubleshooting hardware-related issues effectively.
The position requires strong automation skills with Python and the ability to diagnose issues that span software, environment, and hardware layers. Candidates should have basic exposure and awareness of hardware and devices to support effective triaging; however, dedicated or deep experience in handling complex hardware issues is not required.
 
Customer expectations: Although we touch only software portion of satellites, it would be very difficult to do the work without having any experiences of hardware.
Skill Overview:
Extensive knowledge of Test Automation Tools
Experienced with Python, C++ and C#
PC Hardware Configuration & Installation
Black Box, White Box and Ad Hoc Testing
Knowledge of Batch and PowerShell scripting
Strong triage and investigation skills
Automation frameworks and tools
Test case writing and management
Strong troubleshooting experience
Effective communication skills
Mandatory Skills: Product Testing .

 

Experience: 3-5 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $45,000 to $121,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
