Job Title: SAP Basis Consultant
Location- FortMill,SC ( Day one Onsite)
Job Description:
- To have 10+ years as a SAP BASIS Administrator
- Assessing the existing SAP landscape to identify which modules, company codes, and technical components belong to the divested entity
- Collaborating with functional teams to define how data will be segregated
- Documenting step-by-step technical procedures, timelines, and contingency plans for the "go-live" weekend
- Performing system copies (homogenous or heterogeneous) to create a new, separate landscape for the divested entity
- Executing client transport, export, and import to move specific company data, or performing a client copy to a new instance
- Identifying and deleting or archiving data from the source system that is not required for the new entity to reduce database size
- Configuring the Transport Management System to ensure configurations are properly moved to the new, segregated environment
- Installing and configuring the new SAP landscape (Development, Quality, Production) for the new entity
- Managing the database separation and ensuring database integrity during the transition
- Reconfiguring RFC connections, printers, spoolers, and external interface connectivity
- Creating new user IDs, resetting passwords, and managing authorization profiles for the new entity's users
- Modifying or segregating security roles to ensure that users in the new company code cannot access the old company's data
- Providing 24/7 support during the go-live cutover weekend to ensure smooth data migration and system availability
- Continuously monitoring system performance (work processes, CPU, memory) immediately after the carve-out to detect and resolve bottlenecks
- Validating that the data in the new system is correct and complete
- Deleting unnecessary data and restricting access from the old parent system
- Decommissioning servers or application instances that are no longer needed after the carve-out
Experience: 8-10 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
