About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and adaptable SOS Tech Coordinator to manage end-to-end device lifecycle operations, technical device provisioning, international shipping, and inventory management.
In this role, you will combine hands-on technical troubleshooting and OS imaging with high-touch, client-facing customer support in a fast-paced, dynamically changing environment. You will be instrumental in executing day-to-day operations within strict Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), while serving as a collaborative peer lead within a distributed team.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Device Lifecycle Management
• Imaging & Provisioning: Perform device imaging, hardware setup, initial configuration, and software deployment across multiple operating systems (macOS, Windows, Linux, Android, ChromeOS, iOS, etc.).
• Technical Troubleshooting: Deliver direct, client-facing technical support, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance for consumer electronics, laptops, and prototype hardware.
• Device Requests & Walk-Ins: Review, approve, and fulfill device requests; manage walk-up/window distributions and interactive tech demos for internal teams and engineers.
Inventory & Global Logistics
• End-to-End Logistics: Oversee domestic and international import/export shipments, customs documentation, tracking, and delivery for electronics and hardware.
• Inventory Control: Track hardware lifecycle stages using inventory management tools, maintain dynamic data trackers, and conduct regular physical audits.
• Hardware Lab Operations: Handle hands-on physical hardware operations, including receiving, sorting, packing, shipping, organizing storage areas, and managing hardware recycling/disposal.
Operations & Vendor Management
• Procurement Support: Manage the end-to-end Purchase Order (PO) lifecycle—from quote requests and PO creation to shipment tracking and invoice reconciliation.
• OEM/ODM & Partner Collaboration: Coordinate with external partners and 3rd-party vendors via ticketing/bug-tracking systems and official channels.
• Documentation & SOPs: Continuously update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect changing workflows, adhering strictly to established templates and quality guidelines.
Performance & Communication
• SLO/KPI Adherence: Prioritize daily tasks to maintain compliance with team KPIs; conduct root-cause analysis and corrective action plans if metrics fall short.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Provide clear, professional project updates and status reports to Engineering, cross-functional leads, and management.
• Mentorship: Assist with onboarding, guiding, and mentoring peers in a multi-site team environment.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in hardware operations, technical support, inventory management, or international logistics/shipping for electronics.
• OS & Imaging Familiarity: Hands-on experience with OS deployment, device imaging, system configuration, and technical troubleshooting across various operating systems.
• Client Support: Proven track record in high-touch, client-facing customer service within a fast-paced, rapidly shifting environment.
• Organizational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate data fields across tools, ticketing platforms, and manual tracking sheets.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to manage priority emails, flag operational risks, and collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with specialized enterprise inventory management and ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
• Prior experience supporting prototype hardware, consumer electronics, or laptop deployment programs.
• Demonstrated ability to perform root-cause analysis on operational metrics and process deviations.
Experience: 1-3 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $45,000 to $100,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
