Role Purpose and Overview

The Technical Lead - SSIS at Wipro Technologies will play a pivotal role in overseeing the end-to-end delivery of data integration and transformation projects within the TS - DATA ANALYTICS & AI sector. This role demands a strong technical acumen to lead the performance of Production Specialists, resolve complex technical escalations, and foster the development of technical skills within the team. This leadership position requires a combination of process management, technical expertise, and team collaboration to ensure the consistent and reliable execution of ETL pipelines, data accuracy, and overall project success.

As a key member of the Decision Sciences practice, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize ETL processes, contributing to high-quality data analytics solutions that empower business decisions.   • Lead and architect scalable ETL solutions utilizing Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to effectively extract, transform, and load data from various complex source systems.
  • Develop, test, and deploy advanced SSIS packages ensuring robust data pipelines that support business intelligence and analytics needs.
  • Implement comprehensive error handling, logging mechanisms, and auditing within SSIS packages to maintain transparency, traceability, and reliability of ETL processes.
  • Maintain and ensure high standards for data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across multiple data integration pipelines and environments.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, architects, and other stakeholders to continuously improve data warehousing solutions by leveraging technologies like SSAS, SSRS, and Power BI.
  • Support the team by providing technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to build workforce capability and foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in TSQL and data warehousing principles to design efficient data models and workflows aligning with business requirements.
  • Drive best practices in ETL development and data governance ensuring compliance with organizational and industry standards.

1 Process Excellence Number of cases resolved daily, strict adherence to defined process and quality standards, consistent achievement of process-level SLAs, positive pulse survey scores, and customer feedback metrics including NSAT and ESAT.
2 Team Management and Leadership Monitoring and enhancement of team productivity and efficiency levels, managing absenteeism rates, and fostering a supportive and high-performance team culture.
3 Capability Development Completion rate of technical triages, performance scores on technical assessments, and ongoing skill development initiatives within the team.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

  • Proven expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) with substantial hands-on experience designing and managing complex ETL packages.
  • Strong command over related Microsoft data platform tools including SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services), SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), and Power BI for analytics and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with TSQL scripting and comprehensive exposure to data warehousing concepts, design, and implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams, fostering continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant industry experience, preferably within data analytics, business intelligence, or related technology domains.
