Job Description: Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud Architect

Role Overview

Wipro is seeking an experienced Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of a strategic B2B digital commerce platform for a global enterprise client.

The role will focus on developing an end-to-end webshop solution that serves as a comprehensive product catalogue and digital commerce experience, while enabling seamless integration with merchant onboarding and enterprise platform capabilities. The architect will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, UX teams, integration teams, and Salesforce delivery teams to design scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions leveraging the Salesforce ecosystem.

The ideal candidate combines deep Salesforce B2B Commerce implementation experience with strong enterprise architecture and integration expertise and is comfortable working directly from customer locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end architecture and solution design for Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud implementations.
• Define and govern the target-state Headless Commerce Architecture, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and optimal user experience across digital channels.
• Define scalable and future-ready commerce architectures that support product catalogue management, buyer journeys, account-based commerce, and self-service capabilities.
• Design the integration architecture between Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud and enterprise platforms, including merchant onboarding, CRM, identity management, product information, and other digital platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, and implementation roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership across architecture, development, integration, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
• Establish Salesforce best practices, governance standards, coding guidelines, and solution design principles.
• Drive architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise security, compliance, performance, and scalability requirements.
• Define and oversee data models, sharing models, APIs, event-driven integrations, and identity management solutions.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure successful delivery of architecture designs and technical solutions.
• Support release planning, deployment strategy, cutover activities, and post-production stabilization.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and architectural constraints, and proactively develop mitigation plans.
• Provide technical guidance to delivery managers, developers, administrators, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of Salesforce experience, including architecture and solution design responsibilities.
• Proven experience delivering at least one full-cycle Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud implementation in an architect or lead technical role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce B2B Commerce (Lightning B2B Commerce) architecture, configuration, and implementation.
• Experience designing and implementing Agentic Architectures and AI-driven customer experiences, including the use of intelligent agents, conversational commerce, workflow automation, generative AI, and autonomous business processes within enterprise digital ecosystems.
• Extensive experience designing integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, middleware platforms, event-driven architectures, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce Platform capabilities, including:
• Sales Cloud
• Experience Cloud
• Service Cloud
• Apex
• Lightning Web Components (LWC)
• Flows and Automation
• Platform Events
• Experience defining enterprise data models, security models, authentication, authorization, and access management frameworks.
• Strong understanding of application scalability, performance optimization, and solution governance.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability and willingness to work from customer locations and collaborate directly with client stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce Certified B2B Commerce Developer certification.
• Salesforce Certified Application Architect and/or System Architect certifications.
• Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or CTA candidate status is highly desirable.
• Experience integrating Salesforce Commerce solutions with onboarding platforms, payment ecosystems, ERP systems, CMS platforms, or digital experience platforms.
• Experience with enterprise integration platforms such as MuleSoft or equivalent middleware technologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Salesforce deployment frameworks.
• Experience working within large-scale consulting or system integration organizations.
