Location -   Sailsbury MD ( 3 days in 2 weeks to be in client office)

Description:

The Data Architect will design and implement enterprise-level data architecture across the organization’s Data Lake environment. This role ensures data is structured, secure, and governed effectively to enable trusted analytics and data-driven decision-making. The architect will lead initiatives to standardize processes, define data products, and enforce governance principles while collaborating with business and technology stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Define and maintain the data architecture strategy for Data Lake and related platforms.

Design and implement data models (fact, dimension, KPIs) to support analytics and reporting.

Establish and enforce data governance standards from an architectural perspective.

Develop and maintain data security frameworks ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Lead the creation of data products architecture and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Set SLAs, data contracts, and assist in determining business value for data products.

Implement advanced governance tools to capture data lineage and metadata.

Build and document standard processes, guidelines, and best practices for data architecture.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering and analytics teams.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or related field.

Relevant certifications in Data Architecture or Data Lake technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Experience:

 

10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.

Proven experience in Data Lake architecture and implementation.

At least 5+ years of hands-on experience setting up Data Products architecture.

Demonstrated leadership in data governance initiatives.

Experience in CPG industry preferred.

Hands-on experience with data modeling (star schema, snowflake, dimensional modeling).

Experience implementing advanced governance tools for data lineage and metadata management.

 

Skills:

 

Deep understanding of Data Lake technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Expertise in data product concepts and lifecycle management.

Strong knowledge of data security principles and compliance frameworks.

Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and metadata management.

Ability to design fact/dimension tables and KPIs for analytics.

Excellent documentation and process standardization skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

 

 
Mandatory Skills: Azure Data Lake Analytics .

 

Experience: 8-10 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
