Job Title

Java Backend Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for enterprise‑grade systems. The role focuses on building high‑performance and reliable backend applications using Java and Spring technologies within an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java
  • Build and support RESTful APIs
  • Develop and maintain microservices‑based architectures
  • Work with databases and messaging systems to support scalable applications
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of backend solutions
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams following agile methodologies
  • Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience as a Java Backend Developer
  • Hands‑on experience with Spring / Spring Boot
  • Experience building REST APIs
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture
  • Experience with MySQL
  • Exposure to Kafka and Redis
  • Experience working in enterprise environments
  • Version control using Git

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Spring Batch
  • Exposure to Full Stack development (Angular or React)
  • Experience in high‑volume or financial systems
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies

Experience Level

  • Mid to Senior level
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in Java backend development

Experience: 5-8 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $148,500 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
