Are you a telecommunications executive (CTO, Distinguished Technologist, Technical Director, or equivalent) with a proven track record of leading comprehensive telecom initiatives for Tier 1 operators? Are you seeking a dynamic career opportunity where you will collaborate closely with both business and technology leaders at major Tier 1 mobile operators to advance their Autonomous Networks initiatives?
Wipro is currently seeking a Connectivity CTO / Principal Solutions Architect to join our Wipro Engineering - Connectivity practice unit. In this role, the Principal Solution Architect will partner with leading service providers across the USA and North America, delivering advanced business and technical expertise to design, architect, and implement solutions for Autonomous Networks, OSS Transformation, and Network Engineering.

Your working area & responsibilities 
You will be responsible for developing and presenting our solutions to various technical stakeholders in telecommunications environments, primarily working with CNO and CNO Next Level teams. In this role, you'll deliver our service offerings to clients, identify customer challenges, and create solutions that meet their needs—both proactively and in response to RFPs or RFIs.
You'll feel equally at ease white-boarding complex software architectures with groups of engineers as you are briefing executives in areas such as Autonomous Networks and OSS Transformation. Your work will support our service provider customers as they update and improve both their technology and business systems.

Key responsibilities
•    Advisor, Transformation Partner to Telcos in Autonomous Network area 
•    Anchor OSS Transformation conversations with CSPs.
•    OSS Solution Architecture Definition, Authoring Requirement and Driving innovation in Service Assurance, Service Fulfillment, Network Automation and Network Planning domains
•    Participation in TMF, ETSI, NGMF and other Management Forums
•    Ability to drive conversations on across domain controller, E2E SO and Service Assurance Domains
•    Author product specification documents, architecture for OSS Solutions using opensource / COTS solutions.
•    Collaborate and work with System Architects, Product Management and Customer teams to understand requirements and envisage solutions
•    Competency development in SDN, NSO areas 
•    Thought leadership in OSS

Knowledge & Skill Set Requirement:
•    Strong understanding of various COTS solutions within OSS domains.
•    Proficient knowledge of Cloud RAN, transport, and core network technologies.
•    Hands-on expertise in end-to-end OSS solution architecture, covering service fulfillment and assurance.
•    Experience with Java, REST API development within cloud technologies.
•    Familiarity with distributed database technologies.
•    Competency with open-source platforms including ONOS, ODL, and OSM.
•    Experience in developing microservice-based applications.
•    Proven capability in building RESTful APIs on J2EE frameworks operating as microservices on Kubernetes and Docker containers.
•    Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes environments.
•    Knowledge of DevOps and NetOps practices.
•    Experience with Netconf/YANG and TMF SID data modeling.
•    Understanding of cloud orchestrator tools, MANO, network slicing, NFVI, OpenStack, RedHat OSP, SDN controllers, service orchestration, and TOSCA.
•    Advanced proficiency in object-oriented programming and design patterns.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $190,000.00  to $265,000.00.

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
