Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Global Social Marketing Manager to support Microsoft and strengthen the connection between corporate social strategy and regional execution.

This role sits at the intersection of global social strategy, editorial content, regional advocacy, analytics, and operational enablement. The GSM Manager will serve as a critical bridge between corporate and regional teams, ensuring regional priorities, audience needs, cultural insights, and market perspectives influence corporate planning while helping regional teams effectively activate and maximize global strategies, campaigns, and content.

This role is focused on partnership and enablement, not directing regional teams. Regional teams bring invaluable expertise about their markets, audiences, and cultural contexts. The GSM Manager will advocate for those perspectives within corporate planning and ensure regions have the information, content, context, tools, and resources needed to execute quickly and effectively.

The ideal candidate combines a strong editorial mindset, social media strategy expertise, analytical thinking, and proactive relationship management. They should be comfortable collaborating with corporate creative and social strategists, contributing to strategic discussions, translating global priorities into locally relevant opportunities, and advocating for the needs of regional teams.

Represent regional perspectives in discussions with corporate social, creative, and strategy teams, bringing regional considerations into planning early to make global strategies and content more relevant.
Translate corporate priorities into clear, actionable guidance and opportunities while preserving regional ownership, cultural expertise, and market knowledge.
Develop high-quality social content, editorial recommendations, and recurring strategy deliverables to support regional activation.
Apply strong editorial judgment to prioritize topics, content pillars, and strategic themes based on business objectives, audience needs, and social performance.

Analyze social performance and regional reporting to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
Establish, calculate, and continuously evolve meaningful social benchmarks, helping regional teams understand and evaluate their performance against them.
Translate data into clear narratives explaining what happened, why it matters, and what should happen next.Align GSM reporting with Microsoft’s evolving measurement expectations and use insights to inform future content and regional strategy.Maintain organized, accessible resources that enable teams across global time zones to independently find the information and materials they need.
