Role Purpose
The purpose of the role is to drive and facilitate immigration of Wipro employees for a geography by following the regulatory and legal requirement for immigration while liaising with government and immigration authorities in the geography

Do
1. Deploy the immigration policies and process across as per applicable legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to a geography
a. Lead proper deployment and execution of Immigration policies and processes in the geography as defined by the GIMS Head
b. Stay up to date on prevalent immigration norms in the managed geography and proactively drive modifications to the immigration guidelines basis any regulatory or legislative changes in the geography
c. Work with the country leads on executing the strategy of WiproâÂÂs entry into new geographies from an immigration perspective
d. Review the immigration policies and amend them from time to time for a geography linked to Wipro policies
e. Ensure all immigration related compliances in the managed geography are met
f. Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Build relationships with government authorities, consulate, chambers of commerce and education department in the managed geography to drive ease and efficiency in the immigration process for Wipro employees
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors for audit of the immigration process and systems. Ensure any open items identified in the audits are closed and there are no repeat violations
2. Operational Excellence
a. Process Management
i. Review the immigration laws in the managed geography to identify opportunities for simplification or automation of the current immigration processes
b. Drive compliance with service level agreements
i. Ensure compliance with the TAT and establish service level agreements for each process in the geography
c. Automation and MIS
i. Collaborate with the global immigration support team to identify digitization/automation opportunities like introduction of a chatbot for employee support
ii. Ensures system is updated as per any policy change regarding Immigration
iii. Review and update MIS and reports to monitor and track the immigration process in the managed geography

3. Team Management
a. Resourcing
i. Hire adequate and right resources for the team
b. Talent Management
i. Ensure adequate onboarding and training for the team members to enhance capability & effectiveness
ii. Build an internal talent pool and ensure their career progression within the organization
iii. Manage team attrition
iv. Drive diversity in leadership positions
c. Performance Management
i. Set goals for the team, conduct timely performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to own direct reports
ii. Ensure that the Performance Nxt is followed for the entire team
d. Employee Satisfaction and Engagement
i. Lead and drive engagement initiatives for the team
ii. Track team satisfaction scores and identify initiatives to build engagement within the team
