Job Description

Role Purpose

The Security Engineer ensures secure design, implementation, and monitoring of systems, protecting applications and infrastructure against threats.

Responsibilities

  • Implement security controls across applications and infrastructure.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents.
  • Develop secure coding and configuration standards.
  • Support audits and compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate security into SDLC.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of security frameworks and tools.
  • Experience with threat modeling and risk assessments.
  • Hands‑on with SIEM, vulnerability scanners.
  • Strong understanding of IAM and network security.
  • Incident response experience.
  • Scripting knowledge (Python/Bash).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security certifications (CEH, CISSP, CISM).
  • Cloud security knowledge.
  • Experience in regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of automation for security operations.

Experience: 5-8 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
