Role title: Senior Manager - Physical Security Technology and Implementation

Location : Bengaluru

Job Overview:

This role is accountable for leading the design, deployment, and modernization of enterprise-wide physical security technology across Wipro campuses. The incumbent will drive innovation through AI-enabled security solutions, digital integration, and Zero Trust physical security frameworks, while ensuring strong governance, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and cost efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities͏

Strategic Leadership & Planning:

• Manage a team of security professionals to ensure the timely delivery of security systems projects across multiple sites.
• Provide strategic advisory support to senior leadership on the evaluation, implementation, and performance of security technologies.
• Lead technology modernization initiatives for security applications through close collaboration with internal development teams and external service providers.

Drive adoption of advanced capabilities:

• Drive the adoption of AI-enabled video analytics and intelligent surveillance capabilities.
• Lead the integration of access control, video management systems, and enterprise IT platforms.
• Implement Zero Trust architecture to strengthen campus entry and movement controls.
• Define and maintain the technology roadmap in alignment with the global security strategy.
• Constant focus on automation, dashboards, and predictive analytics.
• IoT security framework implementation and upgradation.

Infrastructure & System Management:

• Manage electronic security systems to include electronic Access control, CCTV, visitor management, Intrusion Detection System and GSOC Operations covering diverse geos  
• Evaluate IT infrastructure needs for the security function in close coordination with IT teams and ensure optimal deployment of resources.
• Conduct physical security risk assessments/ surveys of sites and deployment of infrastructure as per requirement.
• Provide Security infrastructure Design support to Infrastructure Creation Group of Wipro.

Compliance, Audit & Governance: 

• Perform functions of audit compliance SPOC for the security function. Stream line compliance activities with various internal stake holders and engagement with external auditors as required.

Financial Management: Contribute to preparation of budgets for the Security Function and monitor Spends. 

Reporting & Communication: Report on Physical Security Strategy and metrics. Present security plans, procedures and updates to stakeholders as required. 

Vendor & Contract Management: Act as the single point of contact for tech evaluation, POC and administer contract management  through SLA metrics governance, periodic review etc for the function. 

Competencies and Skills: ͏

• Ability to comprehend and manage financial aspects (Purchase Orders, Invoice Review, Approvals) and prepare business cases.
• Ability to manage diverse range of internal as well as external stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills in English. Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office Products.
• Advanced level understanding of Information Technology principles and ability to comprehend and contribute to electronic security systems design and operations.
• Vendor management and ability to enforce contractual conditions and SLAs.
• Ability to collate, process and present numerical data related to security deployment, cost and budget.
• Project Management: Ability to manage Physical Security Infrastructure projects to include Planning, design, installation and commissioning.
• Full understanding of Physical Security Products and services market. Sensitivity: Internal & Restricted
• Strong organizational skills to include decision making, ability to work independently, strategic planning while having focus on Tactical level operations.
• Understanding of various standards like ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS etc

Experience, Education and Certifications: ͏

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Corporate Security Industry with at least 5 years in IT/ITES.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology (preferably in computer science / electronics & telecommunication)
• Experience in handling Physical Security infrastructure in large scale multisite campus across India.
• Experience in handling Cross functional teams
• Certifications on PMP, CPP, CISSP, ISO27001 and demonstrated knowledge on various standards like PCI DSS, OHSAS etc. would be preferred.
