Role Summary

The D1 .NET / Azure Sr. Solution Architect is accountable for enterprise wide architecture ownership, driving cloud modernization, technology strategy, and governance for large, complex client engagements. The role requires strong client facing leadership, deep Microsoft stack expertise, and the ability to influence business, delivery, and pre sales outcomes at scale. This role typically anchors multi program accounts, strategic deals, and transformation initiatives.


 Key Responsibilities

  • Overall 20+ years of experience with proven expertise in Microsoft/Azure based enterprise solutions.
  • Define target state architectures, modernization roadmaps, and technology blueprints aligned to client business strategy
  • Apply enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF / Zachman) to manage trade offs, technical debt, and long term scalability
  • Experience in leading large scale cloud migration and modernization initiatives
  • Own end to end solution architecture for large, multi application programs using .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, Web API, and Microsoft Azure
  • Architect solutions leveraging Azure App Services, AKS, Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Storage, Azure SQL / Cosmos DB
  • Drive cost optimization, resiliency, availability, and performance engineering across Azure landscapes
  • Establish and enforce architecture governance, standards, and review boards across programs
  • Ensure security by design using Azure Entra ID, Key Vault, OWASP principles, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA / GDPR / PCI where applicable)
  • Own risk identification, mitigation planning, and architectural decision records (ADR)
  • GenAI / Azure OpenAI / GitHub Copilot usage in modernization and productivity programs
  • Provide technical leadership across multiple delivery teams (L1–L3) and vendors
  • Guide teams on CI/CD, DevOps strategy, release governance, and quality engineering using Azure DevOps / GitHub
  • Act as trusted advisor to client CXOs, Enterprise Architects, and Product Owners
  • Lead solutioning for large deals, RFPs, and renewals including estimations, commercials, and risk positioning
  • Present architecture options, trade offs, and value realization to executive stakeholders
