Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP PS (Project System) Consultant with over 10 years of hands-on implementation experience to join our dedicated team supporting the account. In this role, you will act as the core subject matter expert, designing, optimizing, and deploying SAP PS solutions tailored to client global industrial automation, robotics, and heavy engineering project landscapes. You will bridge the gap between complex engineering project management requirements and robust SAP technical architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Implementation: Lead full-lifecycle SAP PS implementations (scoping, blueprinting, realization, testing, data migration, go-live, and hypercare) tailored to engineered-to-order (ETO) and complex manufacturing environments.
  • Solution Architecture: Architect scalable SAP PS structures (WBS, Networks, Milestones, Activities) optimized for ABB’s large-scale infrastructure, power grids, and automation projects.
  • Cross-Module Integration: Drive seamless integration between SAP PS and other core modules, specifically SAP MM (Procurement), PP (Production Planning), SD (Sales & Distribution), FICO (Finance & Controlling), and SAP PPM/CPM.
  • Financial & Cost Controlling: Configure and optimize project budgeting, cost planning, forecasting, revenue recognition (Results Analysis), and earned value management within PS.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary consultant for ABB project managers and business leads to translate complex engineering workflows into standard or customized SAP practices.
  • Innovation & Migration: Support or guide roadmap discussions regarding SAP S/4HANA migration, utilizing advanced project management tools and Fiori applications.

Required Technical Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of core SAP PS consulting and implementation experience.
  • Must have successfully led at least 2-3 full lifecycle SAP PS implementations, ideally within industrial manufacturing, engineering, or aerospace/defense sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of Engineered-to-Order (ETO) and Make-to-Order (MTO) business processes.
  • Expert-level configuration knowledge of WBS elements, Network Activities, Cost Planning, Budgeting, Resource Planning, and Project Progress tracking.
  • Familiarity with S/4HANA project management innovations and Fiori-based project apps added advantage.
  • Proven experience handling complex interfaces (e.g., integrating SAP PS with external PLM, CAD, or Primavera/MS Project systems).
  • Associate will align with internal IT to ensure current PS template already implemented in the SAP system is leveraged along with any gaps identified

Soft Skills & Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently influence senior leadership at ABB.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills in high-pressure, matrixed global environments.
  • SAP PS Certification is preferred.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
