Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer who is passionate about solving complex business problems through innovation and strong engineering practices.
The role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable enterprise backend applications and services using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Oracle, and cloud-native technologies.
The engineer will work as a strong contributor within an Agile delivery team, collaborating with architects, developers, and stakeholders while adhering to modern software engineering, code quality, security, CI/CD, and cloud-native development practices.
Key Responsibilities
•    Design, develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable Java backend applications and services.
•    Develop enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and Oracle.
•    Apply strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) across design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
•    Work within an Agile/Scrum delivery team to achieve sprint goals and deliver high-quality solutions.
•    Contribute to application architecture, technical design, documentation, and engineering standards.
•    Design and implement Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microservices, Event-Driven Services, and cloud-native applications.
•    Develop high-performance APIs using REST and GraphQL.
•    Analyze and troubleshoot complex application, coding, integration, and performance issues.
•    Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement effective defect resolutions.
•    Use Docker for application containerization and Kubernetes/OpenShift for orchestration and deployment.
•    Participate in and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, deployments, and release processes.
•    Develop and automate unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to maintain strong code quality.
•    Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve engineering productivity and development efficiency.
•    Identify opportunities to streamline and automate software development, build, deployment, and operational processes.
•    Communicate technical progress, dependencies, risks, issues, and potential bottlenecks effectively.

Experience: 3-5 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $45,000 to $110,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
