Job Description:

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect (12+ years) to own the end-to-end solution vision, architecture, and technical governance for large-scale enterprise engagements. The role blends deep hands-on technical expertise with strong stakeholder management to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions across cloud, infrastructure, and digital platforms — driving customer satisfaction and successful delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact at the customer location, owning the end-to-end solution architecture and its alignment to business goals.
  • Engage directly with customer stakeholders, business owners, and enterprise architects to gather, challenge, and refine requirements and success criteria.
  • Lead architecture discussions and design workshops, present solution options, and drive consensus and decisions with the customer.
  • Provide thought leadership and build compelling points of view, roadmaps, and proposals during transformation and modernization initiatives.
  • Translate business requirements into architecturally sound solutions and clearly communicate design decisions, trade-offs, and impacts to the client.
  • Serve as the bridge between the customer and the offshore delivery team — ensuring the offshore team has clear, unambiguous design direction and priorities.
  • Own technical governance at the client site: review designs, enforce standards, manage architectural risks, and drive resolution of critical technical issues.
  • Support presales and account-growth activities — solutioning, estimation, and responding to new demand and change requests.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (network, security, data, application, infrastructure) to ensure an integrated, coherent solution.
  • Provide status, risks, and mitigation plans to customer and Wipro leadership, and manage escalations to closure.

Requirements / Skills

  • BE / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent; relevant architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP Solution Architect, or platform-specific) are strongly preferred.
  • 12+ years of overall IT experience with at least 4+ years in a dedicated solution/technical architecture role on enterprise-scale programs.
  • Proven expertise in architecting distributed, highly available, secure, and scalable solutions across cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), on-premise, and hybrid environments.
  • Strong grounding in application, integration, data, network, and security architecture, along with modern patterns (microservices, APIs, event-driven, containers/Kubernetes, DevOps, IaC).
  • Experience defining architecture artifacts — HLD/LLD, solution blueprints, non-functional requirements, technology selection, and reference architectures.
  • Ability to lead technical due diligence, effort estimation, risk assessment, and trade-off analysis for cost, performance, and security.
  • Sound understanding of enterprise security, compliance, and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to influence both technical teams and business/executive stakeholders.
  • Exposure to at least one industry domain (Manufacturing, Energy & Utilities, BFSI, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Retail & CPG, Telecom, or Public Sector) is an added advantage.
