The Data Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and implementing enterprise-scale data architectures that enable analytics, reporting, AI/ML, and business intelligence initiatives. This role provides both technical and strategic leadership while serving as the trusted owner of high-priority, high-visibility data transformation programs.
The Data Architect collaborates with business stakeholders, data engineers, solution architects, and platform teams to define scalable, secure, and reusable data solutions. The individual will lead architecture discussions, mentor engineers, establish data standards, and drive modernization initiatives across cloud platforms.
Essential Functions
Design and architect enterprise data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, and analytical ecosystems on Azure and AWS.
Define target-state data architecture, data integration frameworks, and modernization roadmaps.
Develop scalable batch, streaming, and real-time data processing architectures.
Establish data modeling standards, metadata management, data lineage, and governance frameworks.
Design logical and physical data models supporting operational and analytical workloads.
Partner with business and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
Lead architecture reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
Evaluate and recommend data technologies, tools, and cloud services to support business objectives.
Ensure data security, privacy, compliance, and governance requirements are incorporated into architectural designs.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to data engineers, data modelers, and analytics teams.
Drive cloud adoption, data platform optimization, and architecture modernization initiatives.
Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
Promote innovation, automation, reusable frameworks, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Required Skills & Experience
The Data Architect will support Azure and AWS Databricks-based analytical ecosystems and be responsible for defining enterprise data architecture standards, modernizing legacy platforms, and enabling scalable data engineering and analytics capabilities.
The role requires expertise in cloud-native data architecture, data modeling, data integration, governance, and large-scale data platform design.
Experience: 8-10 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
