Job Description

Role Purpose

We are looking for a Python Backend Developer who can build reliable, scalable and high-performance backend services. The role involves working with APIs, databases and cloud environments while collaborating with frontend, QA and product teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Python
• Build RESTful or GraphQL APIs and integrate with internal and external systems
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases
• Write clean, testable and efficient code
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues
• Implement security practices, authentication and authorization
• Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD, containerization and deployments
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions and sprint planning

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Python and frameworks such as Django or Flask
• Hands-on experience with API development and microservices
• Good understanding of SQL and experience with databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Familiarity with Redis, MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)
• Knowledge of message queues like RabbitMQ or Kafka
• Good understanding of version control systems such as Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of backend design patterns

Good to Have
• Experience with async frameworks such as FastAPI
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• Exposure to monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana or ELK stack
• Understanding of caching strategies and distributed systems

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
