Role Purpose

The Application Architect will spearhead the design and delivery of robust, scalable, and maintainable software architectures tailored to meet evolving client needs and business objectives. Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing Java/J2EE applications with extensive use of Spring Framework (Boot and Core) and microservices architectures.
• Proficient in database technologies including Oracle and MongoDB, with practical knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka for event-driven applications.
• At least 4 years of solid experience with frontend development technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and ReactJS to build reactive, user-centric applications.
• Proven coding skills with an ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Deep understanding of full software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and Agile practices.
• Hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, and cloud-native development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in architecting complex applications using design patterns and architectural principles is highly desirable.

• Lead the creation and evolution of architectural designs for new projects and significant enhancements to existing applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology strategy.
• Design and implement enterprise-wide architecture solutions that guarantee scalability, security, reliability, and operational manageability.
• Oversee and direct development teams to enhance agility and accelerate solution delivery, while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Provide guidance on assembling application components and services, promoting modularity and reusability within the software ecosystem.
• Maintain architectural frameworks and artifacts to sustain consistency across the application portfolio.
• Champion advanced architectural paradigms including Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices to enable flexible, scalable, and rapid deployment models.
• Develop and review technical responses for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring robust design assurance and compliance with client requirements.
• Establish forward-looking architectural roadmaps that align application portfolios with future business outcomes.
• Serve as a technical mentor and leader to development teams, fostering innovation and best practices.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, product owners, and delivery teams to evaluate solution feasibility, risks, and adherence to architectural standards.
• Identify and mitigate implementation risks proactively throughout project lifecycles.
• Drive the creation of APIs and other technology initiatives that unlock new revenue streams for clients.
• Promote automation by embracing Agile and DevOps principles, striving to minimize manual intervention and streamline workflows.

• Analyze and understand non-functional requirements including scalability, performance, security, and compliance.
• Develop comprehensive artefacts such as deployment architectures and interface catalogues to support cloud migration projects.
• Identify and assess internal and external dependencies, coordinating closely with vendors and internal IT management teams.
• Collaborate and support build and testing teams to ensure successful delivery of cloud migration initiatives.

Cloud Transformation: Modernization

• Define target architectures focused on integration spaces, ensuring consistency with enterprise goals.
• Assess and align project pipelines and demands with architectural strategies to optimize modernization efforts.
• Provide ongoing technical support, including proof of concept development and guidance to delivery teams.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative approaches and maintain competitive advantage.
