Job Description

 

Data Business Development   - Bridges the gap between technical data engineering and business strategy, ensuring that data projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. This role is common in organizations undergoing digital transformation, where they oversee the lifecycle of data deliverables from inception to completion. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Governance & Execution: Lead the delivery of data workstreams, such as migrations, synchronizations, or system upgrades, while managing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and clients, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.
  • Team Leadership: Manage cross-functional squads—including data engineers, analysts, and QA—to optimize data pipelines and reporting dashboards.
  • Impediment Removal: Actively identify and resolve "blockers" or technical risks that impact the team's ability to deliver high-quality data products.
  • Data Integrity & Compliance: Ensure all data solutions align with governance frameworks, security standards, and regulatory requirements 
  • Process Improvement: Drive the adoption of Agile or hybrid methodologies to enhance delivery velocity and process maturity. 

Typical Requirements & Skills

  • Experience: Experience in delivery, project management, or data-related roles.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL, cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP), and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau/MicroStrategy).
  • Frameworks: Strong expertise in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.

 
Mandatory Skills: Program Management .

 

Experience: >10 YEARS .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $100,000 to $185,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
