Job Description: 

SDET Lead

A Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Lead, specializing in Java, Spring, Web, and API Automation, is a senior role responsible for leading quality assurance efforts, particularly in the realm of automated testing within a Java and Spring-based environment. This role combines strong development skills with a deep understanding of testing methodologies and automation frameworks

  • Test Strategy and Planning: 

Define test strategies, create comprehensive test plans, and ensure adequate test coverage for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing. 

  • Automation Scripting and Execution: 

Develop, review, and execute automated test scripts for web applications and APIs. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Maven, Git). 

  • Collaboration and Communication: 

Work closely with development, product, and other QA teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Communicate test results, defects, and progress effectively to stakeholders.

  • Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: 

Investigate and troubleshoot automation failures, perform root cause analysis of defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.

Experience: 5-8 Years .

 

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 . Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
