Job Description/Qualification & Required Skills

Job Role - Software Engineer (Kafka/Java/Python)

Location - Sunnyvale, CA

Position -   FTE


Primary Skills:  Apache Kafka, Java, SDK, Hive, MapReduce, Python, Distributed Computing, AWS , Kubernetes

 

Qualification & Required Skills:

  • Professional software developer with experience in large scale data platforms & Distributed Systems.
  • Technical expertise in Object oriented programming in Apache Kafka, Java and API’s (Restful).
  • Proficiency in distributed systems specially Kafka and its eco systems like Gateways, Publisher, Consumer.
  • Proficiency of AWS Cloud ( S3 , RDS, IAM, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Technical expertise in deployment tools like terraform.
  • Technical proficiency & understanding of version control like Git and CI/CD workflow.
  • Experience in writing data pipelines, Hive, MapReduce using Spark or Flink.
  • Understanding of File formats like Parquet and Avro.

͏Preferred Qualification

  • Apache iceberg working experience is preferred.
  • Very good in debugging and trouble shooting.
  • Good Communication and excellent collaboration skills to interact with internal customers for collecting requirements.
  • Ask the right questions to define scope and requirements.
Mandatory Skills: Enterprise Platform Engineering Backend .

 

Experience: 5-8 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
