Key Responsibilities (Technical)
• Lead supplier APQP activities: process flow, PFMEA, control plan alignment, special characteristics, and gate reviews.
• Own PPAP governance: PSW approval, dimensional layout, material/performance results, MSA (GR&R), capability studies (Cp/Cpk/Pp/Ppk), and packaging verification.
• Execute supplier qualification and ongoing surveillance: quality system assessments, process audits.
• Drive supplier development plans: risk-based action plans, maturity improvement, and sustained capability improvements for critical commodities.
• Lead nonconformance management: containment, MRB dispositions, deviation/waiver processing, and traceability controls.
• Manage corrective actions using 8D : root cause analysis (5-Why, Ishikawa), corrective/preventive actions, effectiveness validation, and closure discipline.
• Initiate and manage SCARs and supplier escalation per severity/recurrence, track response timeliness and effectiveness.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics: PPM, FPY, on-time PPAP, SCAR aging, audit findings, and COPQ trends; drive KPI-based reviews (QBR/MBR).
• Support NPD launch readiness: PPAP timing plans, run-at-rate, process validation, and capacity verification.
• Ensure change control rigor: supplier process changes, tool changes, source changes, and document revisions via PCN/ECN governance.
• Coordinate onsite/offsite cross-functional execution with SDE/Engineering/Manufacturing/Quality/Procurement to resolve systemic supplier issues.
• Own inspection strategy deployment: receiving inspection plans, sampling plans (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 or equivalent), and defect classification.
• Drive cleanliness/contamination controls where applicable: cleaning validation evidence, handling controls, and verification reporting.
• Ensure calibration and measurement traceability: gage calibration compliance, measurement uncertainty awareness, and lab accreditation alignment as required.
• Maintain controlled documentation: supplier quality plans, audit reports, PPAP records, deviation logs, and lessons learned repositories

Required Qualifications
• Experience in supplier quality engineering with demonstrated onsite and offsite coordination across multi-site stakeholders.
• Hands-on APQP/PPAP experience (AIAG methodology) including MSA, SPC, and capability analysis.
• Proficiency in problem-solving and corrective action methodologies (8D, A3, DMAIC) with effectiveness validation.
• Audit experience: process audits, QMS audits, and product audits; familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 expectations.
• Strong knowledge of drawings/specifications, GD&T interpretation (ASME Y14.5), and inspection/measurement methods.
• Data-driven performance management using KPI dashboards and structured action trackers.
