Role Description

Lead Citrix Delivery Engineer
The Techno‑Functional Consultant – Citrix VDI (Lead) will be responsible for leading the design, administration, optimization, and operational governance of Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments. The role involves providing technical leadership, mentoring junior team members, driving stability and performance of VDI platforms, and acting as the primary technical interface for stakeholders, PMO, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Citrix VDI operations across cloud and on‑prem environments ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Act as the technical SME and escalation point for complex Citrix, VDI, and EUC issues.
  • Design, implement, and optimize Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops architecture.
  • Perform advanced Citrix administration, including environment tuning, upgrades, and capacity planning.
  • Lead Citrix NetScaler (ADC) configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting for secure and optimized access.
  • Oversee Microsoft Active Directory administration (GPOs, access controls, identity integration).
  • Drive Cloud‑based Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) strategy and adoption.
  • Manage and support Hyper‑V servers and underlying virtualization infrastructure.
  • Lead Citrix XenServer and server virtualization initiatives as per enterprise standards.
  • Monitor VDI platforms using Virtuadesk or equivalent monitoring tools and proactively mitigate risks.
  • Provide infrastructure consulting inputs for new initiatives, transformations, and optimization programs.
  • Coordinate with PMO, WMG, security, and compliance teams to align delivery with governance requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes, including incident, problem, change, and release management.
  • Mentor L1/L2 team members and drive knowledge management and documentation.
  • Support audits, service reviews, RCA preparation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of experience in Citrix VDI / EUC / Virtualization environments
  • Proven experience in technical leadership or lead roles
  • Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, security, and governance
  • ITIL certification is preferred
  • Exposure to customer‑facing roles and large enterprise accounts is a plus

  • Clear wipro exams and internal certifications from time to time to upgrade the skills
  • Attend trainings, seminars to sharpen the knowledge in functional/ technical domain
  • Write papers, articles, case studies and publish them on the intranet
