Role: Technical Lead - PostgreSQL
Location: Chandler, AZ (3 Days Onsite)

 

Job Description:
Looking for Engineer to own PostgreSQL database operations on AWS—covering provisioning, performance tuning, high availability, automation, monitoring, and cost optimization. The ideal candidate blends deep Postgres administration with AWS platform expertise, uses Infrastructure as Code, and thrives in a production support environment with strong incident management and continuous improvement mindset.
 

Required Skill:
5+ years of AWS experience
5+ years Cloud/AWS/Terraform and POstgreSQL expertise
 

Key Responsibilities
Database Operations (PostgreSQL)
Administer and optimize PostgreSQL across Amazon RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL and EC2/self-managed (where applicable).
Perform performance tuning: query plans, indexes, vacuum/analyze, autovacuum tuning, connection management (PgBouncer), partitioning, statistics, and parameter tuning.
Own backup/restore, PITR, logical/physical replication (streaming, logical decoding) and cross-region DR strategies.
Implement and maintain HA (Multi-AZ, Aurora clusters, Patroni or equivalent), DR runbooks, and failover testing.
Mandatory Skills: PostgreSQL .

 

Experience: 5-8 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
