Role Description

Delivery Phase/Activities

  • Pre-PI Planning – work with architects & BAs on high-level platform impacts and estimates. Partner with IM and DMs to align pods to demand
  • PI Planning – Ensuring pods understand and are effectively considering NFRs as they plan their work

Test & Release – Ensures that NFRs are effectively considered in ongoing testing

Responsibilities

  • R1: Ensures solution integrity throughout the PI cycle
  • R2: Be the first point of contact for solution guidance and the technical guidance within the domain
  • R3: Supporting SAF with high-level estimates, and be the key interface to architecture into the domain
  • R4: Work with the POD Managers to ensure that subdomain level Epics are well designed and broken down to Stories for specific POD delivery
  • R5: Provide a detailed understanding of the existing production functionality and existing system interactions to assists in the development of new solutions
  • R6: Ensure that non-functional and operational requirements are considered in all designs and appropriately prioritized across the technology domain’s work backlogs
  • R7: Work with architects to provide technical input/guidance for new RFP/work

Outcome

  • O1: Ensure the non-functional requirements are captured and there is a plan for pods to meet them
  • O2: Ensure that platform integrity is maintained when multiple value streams request outcomes with potentially overlapping solutions (in collaboration with the pod manager)
  • O3: Minimise disruption of current PI commitments by providing first level of support to SAF
  • O4: More accurate top-down estimates

  • N1: Early inclusion in solutioning discussions where there is the potential for an impact to the platform’s ability to meet NFRs
  • N2: Clear priorities from value streams so that I know where to focus my attention
