Role: Role: Technical Architect – Browser Engine (Chromium)

Experience Range: 10  Years – 15 Years

Work Location: Bengaluru, India

Role Overview

Technical Architect is responsible for driving detailed technical design and implementation for the Chromium Web Engine initiatives under the guidance of the Principal Architect and translates high-level architectural direction into concrete designs, prototypes, and implementations. This role is critical to achieving runtime memory reduction, architectural simplification, and Chromium optimization goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own subsystem-level architecture and detailed design for Chromium / WebEngine initiatives on TV and embedded platforms.
  • Design and validate solutions to optimize rendering and runtime memory usage, reduce IPC overhead, and simplify browser process architecture.
  • Conduct deep technical investigations and proof-of-concepts for rendering pipeline optimizations, memory & performance optimization, and browser process integration strategies.
  • Drive memory profiling, performance analysis, and regression avoidance.
  • Support architecture reviews, performance analysis, and long-term technical roadmap execution.
  • Support customer-facing technical discussions, solutioning, and reviews.

S͏kill Requirement

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering with hands-on experience in browser internals.
  • Deep understanding of Chromium architecture including Browser, renderer, IPC, and utility processes.
  • Track record of system-level memory and performance optimization.
  • Experience with Linux-based embedded systems, debugging, and profiling tools.
  • Experience on embedded or constrained platforms.
  • Experience working on large, complex codebases.
  • Strong proficiency in C++.
  • Strong ownership and collaboration mindset.
Mandatory Skills: Embedded Linux .
