Key Responsibilities

Develop embedded Linux, firmware, drivers, DAL/HAL and user-space software in C/C++.
Implement I2C, SPI, MDIO, EEPROM, FPGA-register, sensor and pluggable interfaces.
Develop EDFA/Raman control, APC/AGC, power balancing, alarms and protection logic.
Support ROADM/WSS, flex-grid provisioning, spectrum allocation and optical path control.
Develop CMIS/SFF-based pluggable management, DOM/DDM, state handling and firmware upgrade.
Support coherent optics and performance analysis using QPSK/QAM, baud rate, BER/FEC and OSNR concepts.
Perform system integration, optical-lab validation, automation and cross-layer debugging.

Mandatory*	Optical Pluggables	SFP/QSFP/QSFP-DD/OSFP, ZR/ZR+, CMIS/SFF, DOM/DDM and module lifecycle.
Important	Coherent optics	QPSK, DP-QPSK, QAM, baud rate, BER, FEC, spectral efficiency and DSP awareness.
Preferred	Validation	OSA, VOA, optical switches, traffic generators, Python/pytest and product debugging.

* Either Optical Line System or Optical Pluggables is mandatory; both are preferred.

Area of Responsibility

Requirement Analysis-Engage with Internal and External stakeholders to define technology adoption strategies and create optimal approaches for integration.

Designing-Review low level design inputs as per the defined design frameworks for technology components and ensure compliance with architecture standards.

Integration assessment and support-Implement architectural best practices across the client environment to ensure that all technology components integrate effectively within existing enterprise systems.

Troubleshooting-Perform testing of technology components, analyse defects to identify root causes, and provide guidance during deployment to ensure timely resolution of implementation issues.

Risk Analysis and Assessment-Identify technology-related risks and create measures for mitigating risks to ensure alignment with business needs.

RFPs-Contribute to RFPs by providing inputs on technology adoption approaches and reusable design templates.
