Job Description: 

Test Architect L2

Quality Engineering Architecture

  • Define the overall QE architecture and technical strategy across applications, services, APIs, data platforms, and integrations.
  • Establish an enterprise-wide test automation architecture and framework strategy.
  • Define automation standards, reusable components, test patterns, and engineering best practices.
  • Drive shift-left and continuous testing across the software development lifecycle.
  • Integrate quality engineering into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Define quality gates and automated controls for application releases.
  • Establish strategies for functional, integration, API, UI, data, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Architect solutions for performance, scalability, resilience, reliability, and security testing.
  • Define approaches for test data management, environment management, service virtualization, and test observability.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI-assisted testing and intelligent test automation.

PIPL & Privacy-Aware QE

  • Provide QE expertise for applications handling personal and sensitive information subject to PIPL.
  • Ensure test strategies and automation frameworks incorporate privacy-by-design principles.
  • Define compliant approaches for test data generation, masking, anonymization, tokenization, and synthetic data.
  • Ensure personal information is appropriately protected across test environments, logs, reports, automation frameworks, and test datasets.
  • Partner with privacy, security, architecture, and compliance teams to translate PIPL requirements into testable technical controls.
  • Define validation and testing approaches for privacy controls, consent, data access, retention, deletion, and data-transfer scenarios.

PIPL Expertise

  • Good working knowledge of China PIPL and its implications for software engineering and testing.
  • Experience with privacy-sensitive test data and data protection controls.
  • Understanding of data masking, anonymization, pseudonymization, encryption, access controls, and auditability.
  • Experience working with privacy/security/compliance teams is preferred.
