Appian Lead Product Engineer
Location- Tampa, FL
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Appian Lead Product Engineer to own and manage the Appian platform end‑to‑end. This role will guide technical architecture, oversee environment management, coordinate with cross‑functional teams and vendors, and lead upgrade and enhancement planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical owner of the Appian platform - including environment strategy, configuration, performance, and stability.
- Plan and execute Appian upgrades, patches, capacity scaling, and environment refreshes.
- Define and enforce architecture standards, best practices, design patterns, and governance for Appian implementations.
- Collaborate with business, delivery teams, infrastructure, information security, and external vendors to ensure reliable and compliant platform operations.
- Review solution designs and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and performance requirements.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for high‑priority incidents.
- Support DevOps/CI-CD pipelines for Appian deployments and promote modern automation practices.
- Maintain platform documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on Appian experience, including architecture and environment management.
- Strong understanding of Appian components: Records, Data Fabric/CDTs, SAIL, process models, integrations, plug-ins, RPA.
- Proven experience with upgrades, performance tuning, and environment configuration (Appian Cloud and self‑managed).
- Solid knowledge of integration patterns (REST/SOAP, queues, JDBC).
- Experience working with security teams on SSO, SAML/OIDC, RBAC, and platform hardening.
- Experience with identity and access management and platform security.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Appian Lead Developer certification.
- Experience working with Appian Support and vendor partners.
- Background in financial services or other regulated environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring tools (Splunk/ELK/AppDynamics, etc.).
Experience: 8-10 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
